Favorite Hobby Outside Of School:
I enjoy being outdoors.  That may be doing chores on my family's hobby farm, going for a hike, hammock camping, or just sitting on the porch to read.

Another hobby that I enjoy doing is spending quality time with my family. I enjoy going back to the family farm outside of town to see my parents, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. As my brothers and I get older it's a little harder to see each other so I take every opportunity I can.

Most Memorable Experience Since Teaching:

I have really enjoyed being able to see my students succeed outside of class, attending sporting events, and concerts showcasing their non academic talents.   We have  great well rounded students in Goodhue.  Being able to talk about highlights from the previous night's events with the students has been fun.

Why Did You Choose To Become A Teacher / Educator:

As a student I really enjoyed helping my peers with class work.  I always liked watching the moment a concept finally clicks.  Being a teacher gives me the opportunity to facilitate these moments.  Encouraging students to explore and play with math has been rewarding as students make sense of the patterns around us.
