Most Memorable Experience Since Teaching:
My most memorable experiences teaching in Lake City has been guiding and watching students develop not only as outstanding musicians but also as wonderful individuals and community members. There's something truly special about helping student take on new musical challenges whether it's mastering a difficult rhythm, learning how to shape a phrase musically, or developing confidence in their own abilities, and then witnessing that moment when it finally clicks. It's even more rewarding to see how those lessons extend beyond music, helping them grow into thoughtful, young adults. Watching students support one another, take pride in their progress, and carry those skills into the next stages of their lives makes teaching in Lake City incredibly meaningful.

Why Did You Choose To Become A Teacher/Educator:
My journey to becoming an educator was inspired by my mother, who was a dedicated second grade teacher, and my lifelong passion for music. Growing up, I witnessed the impact she had on her students, fostering both their growth and confidence, and I knewI wanted to have a similar influence in my own career. Music has always been a profound part of my life, and I realized that teaching would allow me to combine my love for music with my desire to help others. As a band director, I have the privilege of guiding students not only in their musical development but also in their personal growth, teaching them discipline, teamwork, and self-expression skills that will serve them far beyond the band room.
