The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people about the different sirens you often hear.
Tornado/Storm Warning: Long steady siren in one tone for three minutes.
Fire Siren: Alternating high/low tone for approximately three minutes.
Attack/Defense Alert: Waving tone of short blasts for three minutes.
Additionally: Sirens sound first Wednesday of the month, at noon everyday and when ever the fire department gets paged to let everyone know that they are on their way.
