The community, and area veterans and service members are invited to be a part of a special Veterans Day event in Red Wing.
Red Wing High School, Hiawatha Valley Family Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, MN State College Southeast and Red Wing American Legion Post #54 are committed to the honoring of United States Veterans and Service members. They will hold a special assembly on the morning of Friday, November 8th at 9:30 am in Sonju Gymnasium at the Red Wing High School.
This year’s assembly will include music by students from the high school and college, a recognition of our visiting Veterans and Service members and a reception to follow. They will also feature guest speaker Sgt. Atreyu Moore, United States Army.
All veterans, current service members and their guests will have reserved seating on the floor level of the gymnasium.
Guests are asked to enter RWHS through the district office doors (#36) where you will be greeted by students and staff and escorted to our seating area on the gymnasium floor.
There is an elevator available for those guests who need it, or the handicap door access is behind the school building.
Students will begin seating at 9:20 am. The assembly will run from 9:30-10:30 am with refreshments and cake to follow.
