The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, & Pierce Counties new Executive Director, Nicolle Mechelke, has been on the job since June 5.
Most recently, Mechelke was with Hennepin County as a Program Manager, leading a new program aimed at increasing homeownership. She says the United Way is a great fit for her.
Mechelke, who is taking over for long time Executive Director Maureen Nelson, says she looks forward to serving the communities United Way cover.
Mechelke says there has been a smooth transition in taking over for Nelson and she’s excited about getting out and meeting people and introducing herself.
