The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office is reminding people that no ice is always “safe” and that ice conditions can change within feet.
Saturday around 10:50 am Deputies and DNR Officers were notified of a truck that went through the ice on Lake Pepin near Methodist Beach in Frontenac.
Deputies were already in the area on their Department’s Air Boat and responded to the scene. The single occupant was able to get out of the truck uninjured prior to their arrival.
