Three Rivers Community Action is warning residents in their service area that use their Hiawathaland Transit of a Scam.
They have received phone calls from clients notifying them they have gotten calls from someone at Hiawatha Transit asking to confirm their ride details.
Three Rivers reminds you they will NEVER ask for your personal, private information, including credit card information.
If you receive a phone call and are unsure if it’s legitimate they ask you to hang up and contact them directly before giving out any private information.
The number to call with questions or to schedule a ride is 866-623-7505, option 1.
Three Rivers Community Action, Inc. Hiawathaland Transit has rides available in Red Wing, Lake City / Frontenac, Wabasha / Kellogg, Kenyon / Wanamingo, Northfield, Pine Island,  Plainview / Elgin and Zumbrota / Mazeppa.
