At 5:58 p.m. Sunday the Red Wing Police Department responded to an incident in the general area of West Ave and Putnum involving a suicidal male party with a handgun.
Red Wing Police conducted negotiations for several hours and the male ultimately exited the residence and was taken into custody.
Upon further investigation, officers found one deceased female inside the residence.
This is an active investigation and the Red Wing Police will not be releasing further information at this time.
There was no threat to the general public
