The Timberwolves couldn't take advantage of an historical performance from Karl-Anthony Towns during a 128-125 loss to the Charlotte Hornets at the Target Center. Minnesota held an 18-point lead at the end of the third quarter before getting outscored 36-18 in the final frame. Karl-Anthony Towns had 62 points for the Wolves, but he missed a desperation game-tying three at the buzzer. Minnesota is still in first place in the Western Conference at 30-and-13. The Wolves visit Washington tomorrow night.

The Wild go for their third win in a row when they host the Washington Capitals at the Xcel Energy Center tonight. The Wild are coming off a 5-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. Minnesota is in seventh place in the Central Division with 45 points and a 20-21-and-5 record. Tonight's game starts at 7:00PM.

A former Twins All-Star could become a first-ballot Hall of Famer this evening. The MLB will reveal the 2024 Baseball Hall of Fame class tonight. Former Twins catcher Joe Mauer is on the ballot for the first time, and his name needs to appear on 75-percent of returns from the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Just over 50-percent of ballots have already been made public, and Mauer is polling at over 80-percent. The Hall of Fame class will be revealed on MLB Network at 5:00PM.

The Minnesota Gophers will go for the upset when they host number-ten Wisconsin at Williams Arena tonight. The Gophers are on a three-game losing streak after falling to Michigan State 76-66 last Thursday. Minnesota is 12-and-6 overall and 3-and-4 in the Big Ten. Tonight's game tips off at 6:0
