The Red Wing Police Department invites the community to join them for some indoor skating fun Saturday, February 22 from 3-4:30 pm for the 2nd annual (Pol)ice Skating event at Prairie Island Ice Arena, 370 Guernsey Lane.
Rental skating gear, snacks, and beverages are provided.
Assistant Police Chief, Brian Metling says they received a $1,900 grant for the event and are buying skates for about 10 kids with part of it.
Metling says over 100 people turned out last year for the inaugrial skate and they are hoping for a large turnout. Other law enforcement and first responders will be there as well.
Metling says the event is a great opportunity to meet with youth and community members while having a lot of fun.
