The daughter of a downtown Red Wing store owner had little idea that her unique project to build a hand made tribute to the popular UPS driver would end up with over 4 million views.
Mari Hanson, 14-year-old daughter of Phileo Style owner, Andrea Hanson, says she was inspired by this summers Red Wing Downtown Main Street’s Art in the Alley and wanted to do something fun and say thanks to UPS delivery driver Brandon Stensrud.
Mari says soon after finding a spot in the alley, Brandon delivered to her mom’s store and she showed him the miniature "Petite Postal Place Featuring: Brandon"
Brandon’s reaction? “He was completely blown away” says mom Andrea. The video shows his reaction as he takes pictures to share his frends and family.
According to Andrea, the video on her Instagram page now has 2.3M views and on upworthy, a social platform that posts only positive uplifting stories, it has been watched 2M times.
Most of the original display was destroyed by strong winds this fall and Mari decided to remake it and even created another miniature sculpture of Brandon to give to him.
