Red Wing's Next Council Administrator

Chris Heineman has accepted an offer to become the City of Red Wing's next Council Administrator.

Already a Red Wing resident, he has most recently served as the City Administrator of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, for the last six years.

Chris has two decades of experience in the public sector and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bethel University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Hamline University. 

The Council Administrator, under the direction of the City Council, oversees all City operations, including enforcing ordinances, managing department heads, and administering the budget.

He will assume the Council Administrator position on March 3.
