This device is the property of Red Wing Public Schools, but students are responsible for keeping their Chromebook in good condition.
One way to protect the District's investment and save yourself repair costs is to purchase ChromeCare Protection Plan.
This plan is only $15 and can save you hundreds of dollars during the course of the year.
The District notes that nine families already have had to pay $315 each to replace their child's device this fall and dozens more have had to pay for repairs.
Students in grades 5-12 are eligible for the ChromeCare Protection Plan.
The deadline is September 30th.
