The Red Wing Police Department is currently exploring several options to expand at a new location.
The community is invited to listen, learn, and give your input on the possibility of a new law enforcement building for Red Wing residents.
The first meeting will be held Tuesday, February 11 at 9:30 am in the Ignite Building, 419 Bush Street.
The second will take place at Fire Station 2, 4880 Moundview Drive, on Thursday, February 13 at 6:30 pm.
Currently, the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office and the Red Wing Police Department share a building on West Sixth Street downtown. Their lease with the Law Enforcement Center is currently set to expire in 2027.
The meetings will discuss topics like why is this conversation happening, what would a new building mean for residents and local police officers, where would it be, and how can it work financially.
If you can't attend one of the meetings, you will find ongoing information in future City Beat editions and on the City's website.
