The Red Wing Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a sign on fire in the 1200 Block of Old West Main Street in Red Wing this morning at 4:35 am.
Fire department personnel arrived on the scene at Midway Auto within 4 minutes of receiving the call and found an exterior sign and multiple cars on fire.
Crews initiated a fire attack and had the fire out within five minutes of arrival. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There was no damage to the structure and no injuries were reported.
Red Wing Fire Apparatus used on the scene included two fire engines, two ambulances, and three chief officers. Red Wing Police Department and Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office Dispatchers assisted with this incident.
