Time is almost out for people who live in Red Wing to run for election this year.
Voters will elect a mayor and council members for Ward 1, Ward 2, and Wards 3 & 4 combined this November.
To be in the running, you'll need to officially file your candidacy by Tuesday, June 4. To file, just stop by City Hall (and bring $5 for the filing fee).
Mayor Mike Wilson made his announcment Thursday that he is NOT running for re-election.
Wilson says he has enjoyed his time Mayor but it’s time for a change and he thanks the community for their support.
Kim Beise, who has announced he is running, currently represents Ward 1, Ward 2’s Council member is Donald Kliewer, and Wards 3 & 4 are represented by Evan Brown.
