People who enjoy bringing their dogs to A.P. Anderson Park in Red Wing will need to make other plans until next spring.
According to the City of Red Wing, it has been learned that an indigenous cemetery is located on eastern portions of the park and it’s been closed down in respect of our Dakota relatives and to abide with state law. More work will be done to research this site.
In the spring and summer of 2024, the dog park will be located temporarily at the upper Athletic Field by the ice rinks.
