Red Wing Burnside Student Conduct

Dear Red Wing Community,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to inform you about a recent issue we’ve encountered at Burnside Elementary involving the use of inappropriate and racially harmful language among a few students.

The number of students directly involved is very small, and is not representative of the whole student body.

As a school, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students.

Any form of hurtful or discriminatory language is taken very seriously, and we are addressing this situation to ensure it is corrected immediately.

We ask for your support in reinforcing the importance of kindness, respect, and understanding at home.

Please take the time to discuss with your child why using hurtful language, especially language that targets someone’s race or background, is never acceptable.

These conversations are crucial in helping our students understand the impact of their words and in creating a positive environment for everyone.

We appreciate your partnership in addressing this important issue and ensuring our school remains a place where all students feel valued and respected.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Bob Jaszczak

Superintendent

Jen Grove
