If you rent or own rental property in Red Wing, the City wants to connect with you next month.
Two public meetings will be held – one for landlords and one for tenants.
Connect with staff from the City's Building Inspections Division, Fire Department, Police Department, Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and more.
You'll have time to also connect with other renters and landlords and talk one-on-one with City staff.
The meeting for landlords will be held Thursday, April 17, at 6 pm in the Ignite Building, 419 Bush Street.
For Tenants, the meeting will be Tuesday, April 29, at 6 pm at the Red Wing Public Library, 225 East Avenue.
Among the topics covered: tips on getting ready for an inspection, importance of renter's insurance, how to get Housing Choice Vouchers (formerly called Section 8), and how to become a landlord that accepts these vouchers from renters and home safety information.
There will also be details on free classes and other housing resources and updates on license enforcement.
