
The American Red Cross is still experiencing a blood shortage and SE Minnesota is no exception.
Melanie Tschida, Executive Director, American Red Cross Southern Minnesota Chapter, says they are always in need of blood donations.
Tschida says one easy way to schedule your blood donation ahead of time with the Red Cross Blood Donor APP. She says it has a feature that allows you to follow where your donation is being used, and it even keeps track of your blood pressure and hemoglobin.
Tschida says blood donations you give in our area of Minnesota often is used in times of emergencies and natural disasters across the country.
Thursday from 9 am -3 pm you can donate blood at the Red Wing Amory-National Guard. KWNG and Bluff Country KCUE are hosting our third ever Station Blood Drive Friday, March 21 with the Bloodmobile in the radio station parking lot, 474 Guernsey Lane, from 10 am to 4 pm.
