Plainview Mayor, Aaron Luckstein, invites area residents to Plainview on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th for a variety of holiday shopping and festivities.
Luckstein says the 31st Annual Olde Fashioned Christmas, hosted by the City of Plainview and the Plainview Lions Club, will include Festival of Trees, Community of Holiday Treasures Vendor & Craft Show both days and Saturday will offer some familiar favorites.
On Saturday, the Lights for Life Luminaries will be on display in local business windows along West Broadway and 3rd Street SW. From 7:30 am -11 am there will be a Cookie Walk & Lefse Sale at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, from 1 pm -7:30 pm it’s Holiday Music and Décor.
Luckstein says in addition to seasonal music and Kids Christmas Saturday the 7th, the Plainview American Legion will be horse-drawn Wagon Rides and history lessons.
Other fun activities on Saturday, December 7th, Tree Lighting & Lights for Life presentation at 4:30 pm at Wedgewood Park Gazebo and from 5-8 pm Fruit Cobbler by the Boys Scouts at the Plainview American Legion.
