Winter in SE Minnesota may not be everyone’s favorite time of year but the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce and the Pine Island Image Committee are aiming at changing that point of view.
Pine Island Winterfest is an annual all-day event the last Saturday of January.
The 11th annual festival January 28, includes cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, movie, children’s art projects, soup and chili feed and outdoor bonfire, cardboard sled race, Skate with a Cop, and more.
The evening includes a benefit concert for Jeff Diamond at 7:30 pm at the Olde Pine Theatre featuring the “Human Jukebox” It’s an all ages show and there will be a good will donation at the door.
