Pier 55 Red Wing Area Seniors fundraising continues into next month.
The Pier 55 Proud Project is a planned expansion and upgrade to their existing exterior space. Executive Director, Kim Wojcik, says they really need the extra seating outdoors.
Wojcik says the expansion/upgrade will include adding usable patio space and amenities.
Fundraising for the Pier 55 Proud Project will take place through April 15th with a goal of securing $ 70,000 to cover all project costs.
Wojcik gave a presentation to the Red Wing City Council last week requesting $15, 000 from the city towards the project. The council will vote on that at a future meeting.
Groundbreaking for the expansion is scheduled for April 15th, weather permitting.
