Mississippi River Major Flooding Receding

Water levels on the Mississippi River have crested and are now starting to fall.


According to the National Weather Service, Red Wing’s measurement as of Thursday afternoon stands at 16 ft and is forecast to fall to 14.5 ft by next Thursday.


The river at Lake City is 18.3 ft, and will drop to 17 ft. by the end of next week.


Wabasha is measured at 16.2 ft but is slowly falling and is expected to fall to 14.2 ft. by next Thursday.


The Flood Warning continues for the Mississippi River at Hastings, Red Wing, Lake City and Wabasha until further notice.
