Red Wing Aces 16 Beef River Bullfrogs 4-The Aces won their fourth straight game by blasting the Bullfrogs Sunday at the Red Wing Athletic Field.
Red Wing scored in five of their six innings at the plate, including a seven run sixth inning to salt away the win on the ten rule. The Aces had 14 hits with Reese Tripp and Evan Petersmeyer collecting three hits apiece. Petersmeyer knocked in four runs with Zach Harding and Abe Reinitz knocking in two runs as Manager Justin Plein rested a few of his normal starters.
Aiden O' Brien allowed two runs over six innings to get the win on the mound for Red Wing.
Red Wing is 15-11 on the season and have outscored their opponents 42-5 on their four winning streak. Red Wing clinched the #1 seed for CCVL teams in the Region 5C playoffs Friday night with an 11-1 win over Cannon Falls at the Athletic Field.
The Aces host the Rochester Roadrunners Tuesday at 7:30pm on Bluff Country 1250 KCUE/KCUE 99FM and on-line at www.kcueradio.com in their next game.
