
The National Weather Service in La Crosse is looking for storm spotters for the spring and summer severe weather season.
SKYWARN is a FREE volunteer program that help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the NWS.
In person training will be in Winona at the Winona County Historical Society, 160 Johnson Street, Monday, March 31 from 6:30 – 8 pm.
Tuesday, April 8th from 6:30 – 8 pm training will be at the Empire Event Center, 1517 16th Street SW in Rochester.
In Buffalo County, SKYWARN training will be at the Buffalo County Courthouse, 407 S Second Street, Alma, Thursday, April 10th from 6:30 - 8 pm.
There will be Advanced Virtual Spotter training online Wednesday, April 23 from 6 – 8 pm. To attend VIRTUAL Spotter Training, you must pre-register.
