Pat Kessler, who spent over 35 years as the WCCO go-to political reporter, is weighing in on odds of a bonding bill passing before May 19th and the possible political future of our Governor.
The “mostly-retired” Kessler, who was a guest last Friday on Bluff Country’s Good Morning Red Wing, says there is a real opportunity for the two sides to come together to pass a bonding bill, which would fund various projects in SE Minnesota.
Kessler says he thinks Governor Tim Walz’s recent visits to Iowa and Wisconsin to hold town hall meetings in Republican districts indicates he is still in campaign mode, and maybe not just for the Governor’s seat.
The 2025 Minnesota Legislative session ends Monday, May 19th unless the Governor calls for a Special Session to get leftover work done.
