International Miss Upper Midwest Teen

Greg Taylor

The Plainview News reports Abigail Dickinson of Plainview won the International Miss Upper Midwest Teen title on Feb. 16 in White Bear Lake.

She earned the regional title, which means that she had the highest score between Minnesota and Wisconsin, other than two girls who were crowned from those states. Dickinson will compete for the International title this June in Denver.

Judges looked for poise, confidence, being able to talk to them in interviews and being able to memorize an introduction and present it in front of the whole audience.

Dickinson participated in one optional competition - Casual Wear - in which she placed first. She was also named ‘Miss Personality,’ as voted on by the other contestants.

Dickinson, a 2023 PEM High School graduate, is a Special Education paraprofessional at PEM Elementary School. She earned the Miss National Heart of America title in 2022.

As far as the Miss Upper Midwest Teen title, “I would love to be able to hand off my crown to someone else from our area,” she said. “Please watch my social  media (Abi Kahler, on Facebook) for updates on everything!”
