Hope and Harbor Homeless Shelter

Greg Taylor

A local non-profit is gearing up for season 3 of providing shelter for adult Goodhue County residents experiencing homelessness.

Hope & Harbor Executive Director, Liz Magill, says they are an overnight homeless shelter in Red Wing, that’s open all week long during the months of November through March rotating locations at local churches.

Magill says the shelter opens daily at 6 pm and guests leave the next morning at 8 am. They can shelter up to 24 adults each day and each receives two meals a day, access to daily showers, free laundry, and free personal hygiene items.

Magill says volunteers are needed to staff the shelter this winter. She say monetary donations are always great and they are also in need of several different items.

After the first two weeks at Christ Episcopal Church in Red Wing, you can go online to https://www.rwhopeandharbor.com/ to see the updated list of the next church locations and dates and contact information about how to donate.
