Red Wing’s Homeless Shelter, Hope and Harbor, has recently received some additional funding to help with the cost of housing people overnight during the months of November through March.
After the Red Wing City Council last month voted to amend the funding request of $20,000 to $5,000, Hope and Harbor is receiving a matching $5,000 from Goodhue County.
At the end of last weeks Power of 100-Red Wing’s Impact Awards event, a surprise donation of $1000 was presented to Hope and Harbor from Women Cents, a Red Wing organization with a similar mission.
