Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with the City of Red Wing and the Red Wing Housing & Redevelopment Authority, have a new program aimed at keeping residents safe, secure, and housed with dignity: the Red Wing Owner-Occupied Home Rehab Program.
This locally funded initiative provides up to $20,000 per household to help income-qualified Red Wing homeowners with critical repairs and accessibility upgrades, including work on roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating, entryways, and structural safety.
HRA Director Kurt Keena says the partnership will help build a safety net for those who need it most—and preserve affordable homeownership in our neighborhoods.
Habitat Executive Director, Bob Hawley, says the new program is not just about making repairs, it will help people stay in the homes they love.
Red Wing homeowners interested in applying for assistance can do so online at gchabitat.org/homeowner-help, in person at 614 Plum Street, or by phone at 651-327-2195.
Email inquiries can be directed to info@gchabitat.org.
You must occupy your home, be current on your property taxes, and have proof of property insurance.
