It appears gas prices across Minnesota are pretty much stuck in neutral during the holiday season, although a few places in Southeast Minnesota dropped some over the weekend.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Minnesota was $2.85 as of Friday and is only two cents cheaper than a week ago.
A month ago, Minnesotans were paying about the same price. The state average is almost 20 cents cheaper than the national average.
As of Sunday, Speedway and Holiday in Hastings was $2.87, Kwik Trip in Lake City and 61 Express in Frontenac was $2.89 a gallon, the prices at Kwik Trip in Wabasha and Kellogg was $2.64.
Shell in Goodhue was at $2.74, Casey’s in Wanamingo $2.99 and the Dakota Station in Welch was $2.82 as of Sunday.
The Plainview Kwik Trip and Cenex were at $2.89 Sunday. In Cannon Falls, BP was at $2.99, Speedway $2.97 on Sunday and Monday at Casey’s it was selling for $2.97.
Yesterday’s price in Red Wing at the Kwik Trips and Speedway was selling for $2.79 a gallon.
