The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced a series of temporary sidewalk and lane closures for road improvements and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance along Highway 20/4th Street North in in Cannon Falls and extending from Highway 19 to River Road.
Beginning Monday, October 7 through November, crews will work on sidewalk improvements, pedestrian ramps for ADA compliance, and street surface improvements.
The project will occur in phases, starting with sidewalk improvements, followed by pedestrian ramp upgrades, and concluding with street resurfacing and striping.
Pedestrian detours and lane closures will be in place during weekdays while work is in progress to ensure safety and facilitate the construction.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
If weather does prohibit the completion of this project, it will be finished spring 2025.
