The Minnesota Department of Transportation says there will be a tentative one-day road closure for pavement work along Highway 20 in Cannon Falls between Main Street and River Road, from 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, November 13th.
Previously, the full road closure was scheduled for today but will be delayed due to weather.
Crews will still be working in the area today and may temporarily stop traffic where crews are present.
Crews will be paving the area from Main Street to River Road as part of a street surface improvement project.
Temporary striping will also be added to the roadway, with permanent striping to be added in the Spring of 2025.
The roadway will be fully closed Nov. 13, motorists will follow the signed detour along to County Road 86 and Main Street to bypass the closure.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
If weather does prohibit the completion of this project, it will be finished spring 2025.
