Class A Quarterfinals at Target Center
Red Lake County 68 Goodhue 61-Goodhue staged a comeback for the ages but eventually fell just short against Red Lake County Thursday afternoon at the Target Center.
Goodhue trailed 50-27 with just under 13 minutes left in the game but then went on an incredible 20-0 run in just four minutes to cut the Rebels lead to 50-47. The Rebels finally scored to take a 52-47 lead but the Wildcats scored the next five points to tie the game at 52 apiece. The game was tied at 54 shortly thereafter before Red Lake County hit a couple of key shots down the stretch and made key free throw to advance.
Connor Duden and Luke Peterson had 14 points apiece while Owen Chervestad and Will Gieseke added 13 each for the Rebels (30-2). Michael Roschen led Goodhue with 16 points. Alex Loos had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Luke Roschen had 13 points and Owen Roschen 12 for the Wildcats (22-9).
