The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office is advising area residents that the current problem that Winona County is having with recent suspicious activity involving attempted burglaries is very familiar to them.
They report this person is also known to Goodhue County Law Enforcement and he was reported for this type of activity in Goodhue County a few months ago.
According to the Winona County Sheriff's Office, the suspect's modus operandi (MO) in these attempted burglaries is that he will drive to a person’s house, often in rural areas, and knock on the door.
If someone at the house answers the door, the person will make up an excuse as to why he was at the house. If no one answers the door, the person will enter the house and steal items.
There have been incidents in Winona, Wabasha, Fillmore, and Houston counties occurring, although no actual entries into homes are known as of recently.
The suspect vehicle has been described as a maroon Jaguar with Minnesota license plates.
Another vehicle is described as a light blue Chrysler Town and Country.
