A hockey mask worn earlier this season by Minnesota Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury is now part of a collection at the Minnesota Historical Society.
The group paid just over 35-thousand dollars to acquire the mask, which was worn on Native American Heritage Night in November.
The mask was painted by a Native American artist and Fleury wore it during warmups as a tribute to his wife, who is Indigenous.
Fleury met with representatives of the historical society Wednesday, giving them the mask and adding a signed Native American Heritage jersey.
