The City of Red Wing’s official website address has changed from red-wing.org to redwingmn.gov.
The switch was made due to a statute change that would make a .gov domain required for Red Wing in the future.
Having a .gov domain indicates that the City has been verified as a government entity and makes website impersonation more difficult.
Redirects are still in place to help you get to the new site if the change slips yoiur mind and still use red-wing.org.
City email addresses will eventually change to reflect the .gov domain but remain the same for now.
