The City of Red Wing continues to work on a downtown parking study.
Community Development Director, Kyle Klatt, says the study will include an inventory of parking spaces in the downtown, an evaluation of how those stalls are being used, and an analysis of future parking needs.
The study will provide recommendations for how to accommodate additional housing in downtown without impacting existing businesses, how to better manage available public parking spaces.
It will also include suggestions for accommodating electric vehicle charging infrastructure in downtown Red Wing.
Broader public participation opportunities for community members are planned coming up soon.
