Annual Red Wing Holiday Stroll

Red Wing Downtown Mainstreet is getting ready for another fun filled Holiday Stroll coming up Friday, November 29 from 4-8 pm.

Molly Langer, Office and Events Coordinator, says the theme this year is Baking Spirits Bright.

She says retailers are selling buttons now for only $3 or $5 the day of the Stroll, choosing to purchase a button to support the event is optional for everyone.

Langer says sales of the buttons last year, nearly $3,000 worth, made it possible to purchase a drone this year for the Lighted Parade.

Langer says this year has seen great community support, including voting on social media for the theme and many great ideas for buttons.

Back this year is the Gingerbread House Contest at the St. James Hote, the Tree Lighting Ceremony will start at 5 pm at the corner of Bush & 3rd Street and the Christmas Tree Trail from 4-7 pm at Jordan Court.

Other returning favorites include the Medallion Hunt, which kicks off Wednesday, November 20,  photos with Santa, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Commemorative Ornament, Festival of Wreaths, Lighted Parade at 7:30 pm, and much more.
